The British Library has added a new catalogue of digitized documents relating to the slave trade that are held in deteriorating archives in Matanzas, Cuba. This archive is an important resource for the history of the Americas and of the African Diaspora.
Endangered Archives Programme: Project Overview
This project will be focused on four archives in Matanzas Province, Cuba, containing some of the most important collections on African slaves and their descendants in the Americas.
