KU Language Across the Curriculum (KULAC)
What are KULAC courses? KULAC is a group of courses and special discussion sections that are taught in a foreign language. Students in these courses study subjects that interest them while sharpening their foreign language skills. In KULAC courses you hone and refine your foreign language competency by learning specialized vocabulary used by professionals in your career field.
Students who wish to improve practical language skills in non-literature and non-language subjects enroll in KU Languages Across the Curriculum (KULAC) courses. Since 1994, full courses and discussion sections have been offered at KU every semester. Spanish KULAC courses have been offered in History, Anthropology, Business, Geography, Political Science, Religious Studies, Environmental Studies, and Biology.
The courses are open to both graduates and undergraduates. Permission codes are required to enroll and can be obtained by contacting the Center of Latin American Studies (864-4213 or latamst@ku.edu).
